Welcome to Dachshunds Only Rescue
Within the heart of every rescue lies the singular desire to be loved.
Dachshunds Only Rescue is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization located in Phoenix, AZ. I provide a
foster home for dachshunds until a permanent loving home can be found regardless of the time it takes.
There is a "right" home for every dachshund but not necessarily a "right" dachshund for every home. I
ensure that the home I place the doxie in is right for both the dog and new family.
Need to surrender your pet?
We gladly assist with surrenders. Please see our Surrender page for more information.
Areas served?
We primarily serve Arizona but will travel to bordering states if needed.
Interested?
If you have an interest in dachshund adoption or would like to help with the rescue effort, please feel free
to contact me. In order to be considered to adopt a dog, you must fill out an online application. We may
ask for more information but the application gives us basic information about your home environment.
Our adoption fees range from $100 to $275 depending on the costs involved in the rescue of the
dachshund. Our dogs are up to date on shots and spayed/neutered before placement. We ask for this
donation to cover the funds used for their medical care and to keep our rescue going.
We are never a kill shelter. We allow a 3 day return with a full refund for any reason if the dog is returned
unharmed, and an exchange credit if a problem arises any time after that within the first 30 days.
